Access and Mobility

The whole park is accessible with wheelchairs, prams and for people with mobility problems. The same goes for the sanitary facilities as well as the restaurants. 

Paying a fee of €6, you can borrow wheelchairs and rollators from the information and exhibition centre. (limited)

Tickets and Admissions

The East German Rose Garden is open daily from May to September from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. However, keep in mind that the East German Rose Garden is open daily from October to April from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The most roses start blossoming in May or June and may last until the peak of summer. You should not miss the rose garden festival at the end of June. Click here to find more information.

Yes, free paking spaces are available nearby in Ringstraße 41 in D-03149 Forst (Lausitz) 

Group Bookings

Dogs

Yes, they are. Please note that on entering you have to pay €3 and there is an obligation to walk the dog on a short lead.

Food and Beverage

Yes, on the meadows of the Wehrinselpark and of the Reisigwehrinsel you are welcomed to make a picnic. Please bring a blanket. 

The park offers two opportunities of gastronomic food supply. On the Wehrinsel you can find the Restaurant Rosenflair while in the rose park you can relax in the Café an den Wasserspielen.

Bringing your own food and drinks is permitted.
